Roxanne St. Claire is a frequent lecturer on a wide range of writing-related topics. She is available on a limited basis for keynote speaking engagements, conference workshops, and craft seminars.
Roxanne’s most popular workshop, How Do You Mend A Broken Scene, is a two-hour presentation that focuses on scene-by-scene revisions. Roxanne compares “before” drafts of real scenes highlighting specific words, phrases, and lines that are symptomatic of a “broken” scene with the final, published scene, pointing out specific changes that were made in all revisions and rewrites.
The workshop covers multiple types of revisions -- from light and easy to full rewrites. She shares editorial notes and help attendees understand how to incorporate editorial suggestions into the revision process.
This workshop, and others on plotting and pacing, can be presented as full or half-day classes to writer’s groups and RWA chapters. For additional information, references, class descriptions, dates, and speaker’s fees, please contact Roxanne directly. |
